A lonely Faun comes to the Forest with a thunderstorm. He pursues frivolous Nymphs, but they hide from him, and their distant voices sound like unsolvable riddles. A Traveler walks towards the Faun, listening to the Voices of the Forest. He meets a Faun in a remote thicket in the form of an Incubus. The faun tries to fool his head, but the traveler has a Peony root with him, which helps him avoid the obsession sent down by the Faun. Then together they go to the Lupercalia festival, where the Faun gives the Traveler a Prediction. After that, they say goodbye, and the Faun disappears into the Forest again, finally bequeathing the Traveler to pay more attention to his dreams: in them, the Faun will one day give him a sign that the Prediction has begun to come true. Одинокий Фавн приходит в Лес вместе с грозой. Он преследует легкомысленных Нимф, но те прячутся от него, а далекие голоса их звучат неразрешимыми загадками. Навстречу Фавну идет Путешественник, слушая Голоса Леса. Он встречает Фавна в глухой чаще в образе Инкуба. Фавн пытается задурить ему голову, но у путешественника есть с собой корень Пиона, который помогает ему избежать ниспосланного Фавном наваждения. Тогда вместе они идут на праздник Луперкалий, где Фавн дает Путешественнику Предсказание. После этого они прощаются, и Фавн вновь исчезает в Лесу, напоследок завещав Путешественнику внимательней относиться к своим снам: в них Фавн однажды даст ему знак о том, что Предсказание начало сбываться.
