Dorsetshire – is an underground cult band from the south of germany.
Dorsetshire is a warship with related to the “Neue Deutsche Todeskunst”
which has it`s roots in the creative nineties. .
Twenty-four years after their outstanding debut "Das letzte Gefect", they
hoisted again and raised their war flag for prey.
Dorsetshire still stands for club hits like "Die Strasse der Verdammnis"
"Herzschlag". With their striking german lyrics Dorsetshire is still a
dance floor filler across all boarders.
In the 90s they played extensive European tours with many well-known acts
of the gothic scene. Back in 1993 just a few months, the band received
several "Band of the Year" awards.
After the debut album "Das Letzte Gefect" the EP "Herz aus
Stahl " was released, followed by the next longplayer called "Beast”.
In 1998, the band decided to shut down the project Dorsetshire. Twenty
years later the band has been reactivated.
All songs are newly produced and show the power of impact, that had been
made Dorsetshire so distinctive and successful in nthe nineties.
Mastermind Monaco X got with Bruno Kramm from “das Ich” not just a good
friend aboard the Dorsetshire, but also an excellent composer and a wildly
and vivid live keyboarxder. The Dorsetshire was further equipped with the
terrific live drummer Florian Prantl and gifted live guitarist Patty
Juhasz, as well as one or the other guest musician of the scene elite.
So the Dorsetshire is still keeping a head full of steam and the success of
the success of the nineties is still going on in the future.
Since 05 June 2017, the Dorsetshire is back on course. The first concert on
the WGT as headliner was a complete success and the band was also nincluded
in the main program of the NCN Festival in 2017
Since May 2018, Monaco X and Bruno Kramm have been working on new songs and
are going to release the new EP "Timemachine" in June 2018, with their club
classic "Strasse der Verdammnis" in a new hard robe.
"Timemachine" is going to connect the uniqueness of the cult band from the
90s with the new sound of today. "Timemachine" is more than punchy and
danceable it is going to blow the audience away.
The CD then is going to be followed by a limited vinyl pressing of the EP.
In addition to these facts the two masterminds already are coming up with
great ideas for new songs reimagining the trueness of goth. So a ne full
length album will be coming soon!
In October 2018 it will be time to celebrate a family meeting together with
Eternal Afflict and Das Ich in Belggium, where Dorsetshire always has been
very successful in the past.
Things certainly remain exicting!
