The Moscow-based Gothic-rock band THE GUESTS have been founded back in 2002, and very soon became one of the most acclaimed bands on the Russian dark scene. Before the band’s break up in 2007, numerous gigs were played. The band hit the stage with bands like Sanguis or Cinis or L’ame Immortelle. One of the highlights was the band’s 2004 gig at the Castle Party international gothic fest in Poland. THE GUESTS’ demo recordings were included in many Russian and international compilations (inc. New Dark Age Vol.2, Colors of Black, Heartache Special, etc), and finally in 2005 the label GRAVITATOR RECORDS officially released the band’s debut album “…In Silence”, which received many positive reviews worldwide.

After a short silence, the band reunited to start working on new material, embracing new musical influences and expanding the boundaries of THE GUESTS’ sound. Several EPs and an album, all sung mainly in Russian, followed.

However in 2017 the band felt that the circle was complete, and it was time to get back to the roots once again. Stripped down from a shell which grew to become too heavy and obsolete over the years, the band’s sound today is once again full of the same dark atmosphere that helped THE GUESTS’ ascension back in 2002.

First testimony is the brand new track Highlands, with much more to come.
